Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ9 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Fulgenzi's Pizza & Pasta at (217) 544-8520; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Save your money and go someplace else. My family (2 adults 1 child) stopped for dinner. We got a 7 inch cheese pizza, a tenderloin sandwich, chicken Alfredo, and 3 drinks. The total was $51. I was shocked at the price but figured the food would be worth it. WRONG. My meal was brought out on paper plates. My side salad? Literally just a handful of shredded lettuce what was starting to brown. No other veggies and a packet of dressing. My bread sticks are clearly mass produced. The Alfredo sauce didnβt taste bad but it was runny and clearly mass produced/store bought as well. My husbands sandwich left much to be desired but it was edible. The personal pan pizza which they just call a 7 inch was edible as well but again the sauce is definitely not homemade. For $51 I was flabbergasted. We will never return. The only thing good there is parking for the state fair.

We were there around 2:30 pm. When we arrived there was a only a table of locals in the center of the room just hanging out with the owner(?) and playing slots. They had obviously been there a long time and were talking about 'when we come back tonight'. I generally don't tip when I have to order at the counter and get my own drinks, etc. since no one is providing any actual service, but the older lady taking the order seemed to struggle a little so I thought I would give her a tip. We ordered a $13.00 10 inch thin crust one topping pizza and a hamburger horseshoe. 32 minutes later there was still no sign of food and no one had spoken to us regarding the delay. I went to the counter to inquire and the horseshoe was just coming out. The pizza came out a couple of minutes later. The response to my inquiry was 'new cook'. Pro: the pizza had good flavor and both dishes were very hot. Con: food was overpriced for what it was and the horseshoe was served on a paper plate. The $16.95 horseshoe lacked flavor and the cheese sauce was more like a gravy than a true cheese sauce. I also had a glass of ice tea in a styrofoam cup for $3.35 With tax, tip, and a credit card usage surc

Delicious thin crust pizza! The salad was funny, iceberg, and sliced tomatoes for $5, skip the salad, enjoy the pizza!

Craving a smash burger served with a side of warm, family-style service? This is the place! I had the double cheeseburger with sautΓ©ed onionsβmade to order, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. The fries were fresh and crisp, the perfect pairing. The service was outstandingβgenuinely welcoming and friendly from start to finish. Iβve heard the chili mac is a must-try tooβ¦ Iβll definitely be back!

Nice looking place, but the food was bland. Ordered chicken breast with sautΓ©ed mushrooms. Got a tiny, skinny half a breast, unseasoned, and mushrooms from a can which were also lacking flavor beyond "that's a canned mushroom doused in oil". Didn't feel welcome, didn't feel like my business matters. At least my son enjoyed his pizza, and my other kid got my meal as well as theirs.
